Despite the name, the game is less about the Crusades themselves and more about simulating the history of medieval Europe (and, as time goes on, many other parts of the world) during the period from the late 8 th century to the middle of the 15 th century. I am playing a computer game, Crusader Kings 2.

But on the grandson due to an election result I wasn’t expecting … SUDDENLY … I am Holy Roman Emperor. I started trying a run for “Give a Dog a Bone”. I too need to finish my current run though I may nor get the cheevo I was going for. I’m not African as most here would guess from prior posts, just related to a cultural anthropologist that did the only study anyone seems aware of on the pre-European contact state of that culture. Surprised me when I got them on initial bug report. So I posted how they could model it using existing game features, waiting for the hate and “lets 'splain to the Africans” posts in 3 … 2 … 1. If they fixed AI not choosing matrilineal marriages even when in matrilineal culture, then they can finish fixing my Akan culture bug ticket I opened. Yes, more I too hope for more faces! Getting a lot of “Oh, its you again …” vibes. Hunting down heretical counties is one extremely annoying part of the game that just feels like random gamey punishment. It’s something you have almost no control over, often moves very randomly, and it can significantly affect your goals and plans when playing. I do really wish they’d refine the religious fervour mechanic.
Turns out to get the achievement it doesn’t matter if the unreformed variant of the religion is in some of the counties (which was the hardest to beat back as heresies would spread once or twice a year), which would have made things much easier had I known. I did ALOT of demand conversions with my vassals, and had to try and convert faster than counties would un-convert through heresies and conversions to other faiths. A recent run was for the achievement where you conquer all of Africa as a specific character and then convert all of the counties to a reformed African faith: This is still the only game I am playing.
